Fishing in the Rain

Fishing.... yes, fishing! The girls have been wanting to learn how to fish. This weekend, a Kid Fish event was taking place in our city park. What a great opportunity for the girls to see what fishing is all about. Loaner poles and bait were provided. It was raining off and on, but was a cool morning to sit out and fish. The river was stocked with over 800 pounds of catfish to give the kids a good chance at catching one. We didn't catch anything, but had fun as a family sitting by the river, enjoying God's creation and the quiet, peaceful rainfall. Alexandria took a little nap while we fished under umbrellas. It was a perfect day to enjoy splashing in our rainboots and raincoats! (Something we don't get to do very often here with so little rain!)
