Yes, we have finally gotten rain!!! yeah!!!!
It has been almost 7 months since we have had a decent rain. Alexandria cried when we walked outside and the rain lightly touched her arms and face. She hasn't experienced rain since she was 2 months old, so she didn't know what it was!!
We have been in a drought and under burn bans. Just last week we saw a fire here in town from the extremely dry grass and lack of rain.
Our freshly planted vegetable garden is drinking up each drop of rain. Last weekend we planted a bunch of seeds and some flowers in our backyard. Derrick had just planted his grapefruit tree a few days before the rain.
We thank the Lord for bringing us some rain and we pray for more! Our garden and grass are loving it and we are too! The rain brings such a fresh and welcome calmness.. a time for relaxation.
