We decided it was time to replace Derrick's work car and did our research for many days as to which vehicle we would purchase next. Would it be another car? Would it be a station wagon? Or a minivan? We decided a minivan would be a great option!
After endless hours of shopping online, we found a good deal on a used van up in Fort Worth. We decided to take a lightening fast trip up there and back to look at the van. To make it fun, we spent a night at hotel and woke up the next morning to van shop. We purchased the van and did a caravan back home.
The trip up took about 6 hours. The trip home took over 10 hours. Yes, it is different driving two vehicles back with a baby and a puppy!!!! We also hit Austin traffic on the way home at about 6 p.m and it was unbearable. My eyes were so tired from driving that we pulled over and ate a nice meal before hitting the highway again for home.
We also had a fun stop in Waco!!! We stopped to see our special friend Josh at Baylor!!
Our place looks like a used car lot now with two vans and a car. We do plan to sell the car soon.
The minivan will be great for around town, for Derrick's work vehicle and for trips to the city. We will save the conversion van for longer trips and those big grocery trips when we need the extra cargo room.
